And so again another morning around Exeter had more fog then you could shake a stick at, although nobody would have seen you doing just that. I headed for the high ground of Haldon and was amazed to still be smothered in thick fog up around 250 metres high. With no sign of it lifting or breaking up within the small window of my "pleasure before work" I changed plans and visited a little patch of road which I've always driven down very slowly while looking and thinking "there has to be a photograph in this somewhere". The problem for me in the past was it always looked complicated with layers upon layer of branches turning into mushy dark areas. Unfortunately this fog was to high for long looking vistas but thankfully ticked all the right boxes for this ghostly looking Devon road.
